Tut Tut

pooh

Does anyone recognize this?

It’s a page from Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree.  Winnie the Pooh was one of my favorite books as a kid, and I’ve been known to read it now and again as an adult, too.

Now, lest you think you’ve stumbled into the wrong blog, let me explain why I bring it up.

One of this week’s major grammar points was how to say “it looks like” something.

For example, 雨が降りそうです basically means “It looks like rain.”

Now, don’t ask me how to say “tut tut” in Japanese, because I haven’t worked that one out, yet, but I’m delighted to say that the grammar for this week is remarkably easy, which is a relief after last week.
