Okay, I have to share this with you.
Figuring out how to convert a verb from the ます form to the て form takes a bit of memorization, especially for Class I verbs, so there appear to be several songs out there to help you remember how to do it.

Now, I haven’t checked these songs for accuracy, but I am assuming they are correct.
And, yes, you might find singing a song to help you remember something to be a bit cutesy, but it works. (There are an awful lot of people in the U.S. who know the preamble to the constitution, but only if they sing it thanks to Schoolhouse Rock. I’m one of them!)
